Barry Keoghan dropped out of Gladiator II (2024) to star in this film instead. Bird is a coming-of-age drama set in 2024 following Bailey, a 12-year-old girl who lives in a very poor environment around Kent and spends most of her time running around the inner city and by recording on the phone events that mean something to him. However, her father Bug (Barry Keoghan) expects his daughter to attend the wedding with another woman, and when Bailey runs away, she meets a mysterious man named Bird (Franz Rogowski), who then turns into a touching story of friendship and family poverty.

But this movie is definitely not for everyone, as its entire Runtime consists of exploring these types of dangerous environments and the positive things that surround them

. It’s certainly a very well-made film and didn’t seem like it needed much of a budget to make it with breakout performances from a new generation of actors. I think he’s definitely up to the task of delivering a thoughtful message with standout performances that really make an impact, and I can respect him for that.

But the acting is very good, my favorite character Bird doesn’t really have many lines, but he doesn’t need to

However, my personal opinion is that I really don’t like the characters, and I mean they are accurate, but I literally see people like this every day and I can’t accept the actions that most people take in this movie. Although some of the scenes with them are very funny, I really can’t identify or relate to what some of the characters do in this movie, and I hated the character of Bug, who was definitely an annoying but realistic portrayal of men and fathers like him. I also wouldn’t encourage young children to talk and follow a random guest, but Bird is an escape from reality for these kids, and it’s not what you think.

Overall, I would never watch this again 39;I don’t think this movie needs to be seen on the big screen, it’s more of a home viewing. Bird has decent performances, humor and great scenes, but I didn’t like most of the characters, even Bailey was annoying, but I think it’s to show that people like them are real and live like this, so I think it’s a good message, but don’t watch this in the cinema , I just don’t think it’s that compelling to be honest and the running time could also be tweaked as I think it went on a bit too long, but no, I recommend rushing to see this.
